The interior minister took notice of difficulties being faced by Af
ghan citizens in Pa
kistan due to closure of Pak-Afghan border.
A statement issued here said as per the interior minister’s direction, regional passport office Peshawar had been authorized to extend visas of Af
ghan citizens.
The basic purpose of this initiative i
s to resolve their problems and facilitate those who hav
e come to Pa
kistan legally.
The Pak-Afghan border was closed for an indefinite period shortly after a deadly blast at the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar in Sehwan Sharif.
Taking notice of the problems being faced by Afghan nationals due to closure of Pak-Afghan border, he asked the authorities concerned to resolve visa issues of the Af
ghan citizens.
